War Of The Shits

(SPOILER ALERT)
This movie sucks. There's your spoiler. Ok so maybe it doesnt suck. Maybe it's not terrible. I just found it disapointing. I'll make this quick and painless. Im not trying to say join my crusade and defeat this movie. I don't have a crusade and if I did than I'd be wasting my life. I just know alot of people love this movie. Everytime I think back to it I think of the problems I had with the movie. If your a freind of mine and really liked the movie than don't hate me. In fact don't read any further =0). To end this I'll just leave my questions about the movie.

(remember spoilers)

10. When an unidentified object comes to earth and the ground around the are starts to rise, why does noone run

9. When the object crashes using lighting as it's trainsportation and the lighting fry's everything around including, TV's, radios, cell phones and card why is it that there is still a working camcorder to record people dying on the street.

8. When the son realizes everything around him is destroyed, it would have been nice to meet someone he cared about to make him angry enough to go on a suicide rage. My question, Why would Ray (Tom Cruise) allow his son to run over a hill where the military were bombing with the only reason " I gotta know I gotta see I gotta know"? If I was Ray I would have convinced the son that his sister's safety is top priority

7. When the aliens have destroyed everything and everyone is running for their lives ,Why would running into Tim Robbins house be safe?

6. Why was it safe?

5. Again the aliens destroyed everything, except this house their hiding in. Why did the aliens decide to go on a Jurassic Park style search through the house? Bonus question, What were they looking for in this particular house that allowed to not be destroyed?

4. The goal of the movie was to get the kids back safe with their parents. The parents were in Boston. Why would Ray think takeing the kids to Boston was a good idea when the aliens have been attacking every major city? Another Bonus question. When everyone arrived to Boston they could see from the path they had taken that at least two alien ships were in the middle of destroying it. Why was everyone still walking towards Boston?

3. Ray (Tom Cruise) kind of became the hero when he noticed birds were sitting on top of one of the alien ships. Ray connected that with the Aliens shields being down. As a result Ray pointed the birds out to the troops, they open fire and destroyed the alien ship. Here my thing. Earlier in the movie we say aliens picking people up left and right while at the same time blocking itself with shields from the military's weapons. If the people can enter the ship with the shields up, why can't birds sit on the ship with the shields up? Something seems flawed.

2. How did the son make it to Boston Alive? He was weapon less

1. OK this book is based on a classic. I remember watching the original as a kid and thinking how smart the ending was. It just seems like the ending is dated. I know I know, blasphemy. I guess the question is, why would these aliens who, according to the movie, have been planning this invasion for years forget to ask themselves if they can survive on the planet they want to over take?

Someone is bound to say that the answer to these questions are "it's just a movie". I jsut expected so much more out of spielberg. I dont think hes ever done me wrong.
