Thanksgiving
In a world full of holidays like Columbus Day, Thanksgiving is one of the few holidays I look forward too. I dont even like Turkey that much, it's just a holiday where freinds and family get together and just be with each other. When you go shopping at stores, you never see a huge Thanksgiving selection at Target or Wal-mart. Usually it's Halloween than Christmas. So I guess it's safe to say that Thanksgiving isnt as comercial as the rest. Working in retail I come to notice the worst in people especially around Christmas time. Working in the electronics department a few years in a row we always have tons of people asking, or should I say needing, certain video games for there kids stocking. When were sold out of what they want we see the worst in everyone. No Happy Holidays, no thanks anyways, we usually get "Well what am i suppose to do?" The response I have set up in my head is "Well the three wise men didnt follow Jesus's birthday list, they surprised him with presents, if they didnt follow his birthday list they would have gotten him the PS B.C." If I had to make a list of overated holidays it would be, not in order
5. Christmas
4. Easter (what do Rabbits, Eggs, and Jesus all have in common?)
3. Labour day ( Its like the day of rest for all people who work, except in retail. than people who do have the day off go shopping as opposed to resting, thanks alot)
2. Memorial day ( who remembers anyone on this day, most people go to the beach, or again shopping)
1. Columbus day,(he was a murderer who tortured and raped thousands and discovered america second)
On that note =0) Happy Thanksgiving to all and to all a good night
